As your Council Member, I will:

  • Advocate for supportive housing, SRO units, and housing vouchers to help people transition into stable homes.

  • Improve coordination between city agencies to ensure continuous care for homeless New Yorkers and hold City Hall accountable for vacant supportive housing units.

  • Expand mental health services and increase programs like Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) to support people with serious mental illness.

  • Fight for job training, addiction treatment, and healthcare to prevent homelessness and ensure long-term stability.

  • Increase public safety and mental health outreach teams to connect vulnerable individuals with resources.

Homeless Crisis

New Yorkers deserve not just a roof over their heads, but the stability and dignity that come with having a home. Homelessness isn’t just a statistic—it’s a crisis that impacts real people in our communities, and we need real solutions to address it.

I am committed to a comprehensive, humane approach to homelessness. That means addressing both the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness and the systemic issues that perpetuate it—things like the lack of affordable housing, inadequate mental health support, and the rising cost of living. I will fight for policies that provide both immediate relief, such as expanded shelters and better access to housing, and long-term solutions, like investing in permanent affordable housing, mental health services, and job training programs.

Homelessness is not a temporary problem—it’s a systemic issue that requires a systemic solution. I will never stop working to ensure that every New Yorker, no matter the circumstances, has a safe, affordable place to call home.
