Policy

As your Council Member, I will:

  • Fight to restore funding to childcare services and expand access to affordable childcare and Pre-K programs, especially in underserved neighborhoods.

  • Advocate for increased investment in public schools to close the funding gap between wealthy and underserved schools.

  • Increase support for teachers through better pay, professional development, and workforce housing.

  • Launch universal childcare and after-school programs, ensuring every child has the foundation to succeed.

  • Fully fund UFT initiatives like Teacher Centers, BRAVE, and United Community Schools to enhance teacher training, promote student well-being, and create safe, inclusive learning environments.

  • Advocate for properly funded and accessible CUNY programs for all students, particularly those from underserved backgrounds.

Education

As the only mother running for City Council District 1, I deeply understand the responsibility we have to our children. All students should have access to the resources, teachers, and support they need to succeed. As your Councilmember, I’ll fight for better pay and resources for our teachers, more after-school programs to engage our youth, and greater investment in public schools.

I’ll also work to eliminate funding gaps, restore funding for early education, and make childcare more affordable. We must ensure that all children—regardless of background—can succeed and reach their potential.

This is about creating a future where every child can dream big and achieve even bigger.
